Looking at BNR34s to buy. No fancy spec Rs or Vs, just plain GTRs.

Unfortunately, the only non-salvage title blue one is 2WD.

I didn't think so, but that's what the listing says. I know GT-Ses are just RWD GTRs, but I don't know

I don't know about the R34 but the R32 and R33 GTS-T had a less powerful motor than the GT-R

Yup. You could get a 100 hp 2.0L RWD Skyline. Remember folks, the GT-R is a hopped up version of a "regular" car. That said, I jizz myself everytime I see one (which is pretty rare, but not as rare as you'd think here in L.A.)

I know the GTS were RWD only (unless you bought a GTS-4 which is AWD but less power) and the GTR was AWD only.
I think this one is probably a GTS with GTR bumpers(this was a common thing to do) a GTR clone if you will

A quick check produced that the GTS-T has a single turbo RB25, while the GTR has a twin turbo RB26. Similiar, but not quite the same.

If Japan made "regular cars" like this still
well they'd be doing something right

I love anything RWD. But look at this.
That one happens to be 1.8L with 91 hp!

Its always weird to remember that they made these in sedan form. I actually saw a R33 sedan in black when I was in the Caribbean a few years ago.

There's a 4 door R34 rolling around the South Bay area where I live. I always see him going the opposite direction. It's glorious.
